Christchurch City Council has extended the deadline for public submissions on proposed District Plan changes 13 and 14, which aim to allow more intensive development to accommodate future growth.

The deadline has been pushed from 3 May to 12 May due to issues with the submission form.

Head of Planning and Consents John Higgins stated, “To ensure potential submitters are not disadvantaged, we’re extending the closing date for making submissions on both plan changes to 11:59 pm on Friday 12 May."

Higgins apologised for any inconvenience caused and encouraged further submissions on the proposed plan changes.
